More than three quarters of British employees have stolen from their workplace, according to a new survey.
Men are especially likely to be guilty, with 82 percent admitting theft from their employers, compared with 71 percent of women. For the population overall, the figure was 76 percent.
By far the most common items stolen were pens, although printer paper was a common target too. Stamps, mugs and toilet paper also featured prominently.
However, five percent of employees admitted taking more valuable items, including printer toner, laptops, and furniture.
The research was conducted by workplace design firm Maris Interiors, which surveyed 370 people in November.
