Spanish gaming group Codere is to take its first steps online with a bingo venture in Italy.
It will offer Internet bingo on Playtech’s Italian platform, also used by Snai, Sisal, and Gala Coral’s Eurobet unit.
It is a logical progression for Codere, which has long had a land-based presence in Italy, where it operates 13 bingo halls.
And it is likely to lead to further international online operations for the firm.
“They are a major gaming operator with a significant land-based presence in Italy and we are very much looking forward to helping them develop their online presence in regulated markets,” Mor Weizer, Playtech’s chief executive, was quoted as saying.
