Police are trying to identify two men who robbed an amusement arcade in Worthing at knifepoint. The incident took place at the Ann Street Casino in the resort town south of London during the early evening of 11 January.
It came just weeks after two armed men stole thousands of pounds in cash from another arcade in Altrincham, near Manchester, although police are not linking the robberies.
Detective inspector Trevor Bates, of the Worthing and Adur criminal investigation department, said: "We would like to hear from anyone who saw two men acting suspiciously in the area shortly before the incident. They may have been drinking locally before the incident and were hanging around near to the NCP car park at the Guildbourne Centre. It is thought the men left on foot after the robbery and we would also like to speak to anyone who saw them making their escape from Ann Street into Warwick Street."
Our image shows CCTV footage of the suspected robbers.
The man with the knife was described as about 6ft 4in tall, wearing a balaclava which only showed his eyes, and dressed entirely in black. The second man was described as about 5ft 9in, “of stocky build with a pot belly”, wearing dark clothing including a hooded top.
