Photo-Me International has enlisted designer Philippe Starck to create its latest automated photo booth.
The company is enthusing over features including “pure and elegant lines, classic and plain colours” and a backlit translucent seat.
The new booth, which produces postcards as well as photos, also includes access to the Facebook, Picasa and Flickr online services, and to consumers’ email accounts, so that they can import existing images.
Options for photo effects and backdrops include a pop art style, frames, and backdrops such as the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty.
In more than 40 years as a designer, Starck’s projects have included furniture, restaurant and hotel interiors, and a Microsoft mouse.
