Bally Technologies says its new Code Red game mixes the best of reel and video technologies, using a curved LCD display that makes video reels “virtually indistinguishable” from mechanical ones.
“Code Red is a game-changer,” said Dan Savage, Bally’s marketing VP. “It looks, feels, and plays like a traditional reel-spinning game, but is actually a video machine. All of the features, such as the touchscreen capabilities and gesture control, take the player interface to the next technological level.”
The game incorporates Bally’s U-Spin gesture-control system and its iDeck touchscreen interface. It also is the first to incorporate the company’s new Free Games play system, which shows possible bonuses above each reel while free games are played. When a Code Red symbol appears, players receive the bonus shown above that reel, and it is replaced with another randomly-chosen bonus.
The game is housed in Bally’s Pro Series Upright Curve cabinet with a 15-inch LCD topper and lighting synchronised with gameplay.
