Garland grows estate

Garland Leisure has bought Birmingham ten-pin venue Lakeside Superbowl from Newbury Leisure as it continues an acquisition spree.

The Lakeside location, which Garland plans to refurbish before reopening, has 18 lanes, bar, cafe and amusement zone.

In February, Garland took over Aldershot Bowling, Strykers Tenpin Bowling Centre in Wolverhampton, and Blackpool Bowl.

And toward the end of last year it acquired 11 sites, mostly in the north of England, from AMF Bowling as AMF reviewed its estate.
