The Bowling Proprietors Association of America (BPAA) is to hold this year’s International Bowl Expo, its main annual convention and trade show, in Texas for the first time. It runs at venues in Grapevine and Arlington from 25 June through 1 July.
“The International Bowl Expo is our largest and most important gathering of the year,” said BPAA executive director Steve Johnson. “These are important, exciting times for the bowling industry. We’re seeing a major resurgence in the game’s popularity, as well as a reshaping of the business model.”
The trade body has signed Brunswick Bowling as platinum sponsor of the expo and also as presenting sponsor of its general session, which will feature keynote speaker and legendary NFL Dallas Cowboys quarterback Roger Staubach.
“We are deeply committed to doing whatever it takes to promote the advancement of the bowling industry – making the game more enjoyable for participants and more profitable for proprietors,” said Brunswick’s president Brent Perrier.
