Gaming machines declared compliant with Article 110 of the Testo Unico delle Leggi di Pubblica Sicurezza - Unified Text of Public Security Laws (Tulps) - have already attracted the attention of police authorities and, after a careful assessment, have been judged non-compliant.
To support the declarations of conformity, audit certificates from more than one certification body authorised by the Amministrazione dei Monopoli di Stato (AAMS) had been produced, together with permits issued by the AAMS authorising the distribution and the commissioning of “dubious” gaming machines.
In the past, this situation affected a limited number of gaming machines, but today there are many manufacturers involved. In the last few days of October the military corps dealing with customs, excise and tax crimes - as directed by the Venice Public Prosecutor’s Office - has been seizing the authorisations for Black Slot gaming machines held in the manufacturers’ stores.
The gaming machines are those ready to be distributed, but without a permit for them to be commissioned. The military corps is also gathering information on all those who have purchased this type of gaming machine in the past.
On this subject, Marco Ripamonti has highlighted the need for a common approach as a line of defence, because these measures are a danger to the entire NewSlot system.
Gaming devices with a Black Slot board are widespread and have been launched in the market by about 100 Italian and foreign producers. Black Slots account for over 50 per cent of slot machines played by the Italian public.
