Sound Leisure’s new VenueHub jukebox offers consumers every UK Top 40 single since 1952, stored on the local hard disk, as well as access to an online repository of more than 5.5m songs. Supporting contactless payment for sums up to £15, the smooth-fronted unit is controlled via gesture, using Zytronic touch sensors.
Said Sound Leisure managing director Chris Black: “With the release of VenueHub the jukebox concept is taken into the 21st century. It represents a major transformation in the way that users interact with these pieces of equipment, bringing them in line with the functional expectations set by modern portable consumer electronics devices, such as smartphones and MP3 players.
“The large-format portrait touchscreen enables the entire front surface area to be utilised for jukebox functions and dynamic promotions. It makes all public interaction with the unit enjoyable and free from any frustration,” he added.
