Brunswick Bowling Products has launched version 5 of its Vector Plus system for management of bowling centres. “We have paid close attention to our customers’ wish lists and entertainment trends,” said president Brent Perrier. “The centres that have tested Vector Plus 5 are very pleased – both for its improved dollars-and-cents functionality and its increased pizzazz factor."
The customer interface has been completely redesigned and now allows bowlers to choose their own visual theme to be displayed on their lane's monitors, one of several features that Brunswick says will "significantly enhance the entertainment value and marketing capabilities of the scoring system".
Operators can also customise the scoring system to add promotions for their products and services, or sell advertising on the screens to other businesses.
Cash control and management have also been improved, while a new security option will require bartenders and other staff to present employee ID before they can gain access to the system.
Separately, the firm has named Ryan Ciminelli as the latest addition to its pro staff.
