ExCel London, EAG International Expo’s home, sits in a district known as London’s Eastside, now a vibrant area brimming with hotels and restaurants in addition to offering world-class shopping. The area is already benefiting from a billion-pound transport infrastructure investment, making ExCel a very easy destination for travellers.
The most fortunate visitors arriving by air will land at London City Airport. Serving 30 international destinations and with 350 flights per day, London City Airport is literally five minutes from ExCel by car or taxi and ten minutes on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR). London’s other four airports are also within an acceptable travel time.
For those European visitors with easy access to Brussels or Paris, Eurostar is a good option, with 30 high-speed trains per day arriving at St. Pancras Station. Onward travel to ExCel by London Underground will take around 35 minutes.
The Docklands Light Railway is often described as one of London Eastside’s main arteries and is capable of moving 36,000 passengers per hour. ExCel has three DLR stations – Royal Victoria, Custom House for ExCel and Prince Regent.
It is also readily accessible via the London Underground. The Jubilee Line connects to ExCel via the DLR.
For visitors and exhibitors from closer to home, ExCel is also easy to reach by road, with access from the M25, London’s orbital motorway. The venue offers parking for 3700 cars.
