For for the first time in nearly ten years Thomas will be on its own stand at EAG 2012.
Said sales manager Ian Fuller: “We will be launching an entirely new range for 2012 – the Thomas 8000 series – plus will show the 5001 and 5002 high-capacity change machines and will unveil a brand-new version of the extremely popular 3004.”
The new 8000 range of products has been designed to allow gaming machine operators to enhance security and improve operating efficiency. The first in the series to be launched is the Thomas PayStation. Contemporary-looking and multifunctional with a touch-enabled 21-inch screen, the PayStation will allow the complete automation of hand-pay jackpots, serving as a change-giver and cash dispenser for the arcade and bingo sector.
The new suite of ThomasPay products will enable arcade operators to convert coin hopper payments to a secure ticket-out solution. Tickets can be cashed at the cash desk or via the Thomas PayStation.
The 3004 is the most popular change machine Thomas Automatics has produced, with thousands of machines in daily use worldwide. New features for the 2012 machine on display at EAG include a bank note recycler, colour display, and new electronics which will provide full auditing of the machine.
Said Fuller: “In 2011 we listened to our customers highlighting the problems of B3 jackpot payouts, hopper starvation and security risks.”
Extending Thomas’s change machine portfolio for 2012 will be a selection of machines from VNE. The Italian manufacturer has worked closely with Thomas Automatics to introduce a range for the UK market; these include the Mini/Token change machine. This machine has a small footprint, accepts notes and coins and has two MKIV hoppers. The machine also includes a special token program allowing it to dispense one or two tokens, plus bonus tokens.
For bulk coin changing, there will be two new machines on show, the 54 and the Super Change. The 54 allows users to change bulk coin into bank notes, via its internal coin counter. Its bank note recycler also allows notes to be changed to coins. The Super Change is a high-end bulk coin recycling machine, containing a bank note recycler, high-speed coin counter – 20 coins per second – and touchscreen.
