Keith Healey and Andy Powell, Chairman and Managing Director respectively of Games Warehouse, have been appointed joint UK Country Managers of the Rowe and Merit brands, both sister businesses within the Harbour Group’s entertainment portfolio.
In addition to their current duties, Healey and Powell will be responsible for all aspects of the three businesses, including Premiere Tournament Operations Group, for the UK territory. They will report directly to Jeff Martin, Chairman of Harbour’s entertainment division.
While sharing overall responsibility for all UK operations, Healey will primarily focus on Merit and Premiere Group, with director of operations Les Phillimore reporting to him. Powell becomes product champion and UK manager for Rowe International and, consequently, Tony Deasy and Chris Hind will report to him.
A further move sees Nick Hardy relocate to Nottingham in his role as UK group marketing manager, reporting to Powell and working across all brands.
Frank Ballouz (pictured) continues as vice-president of international sales (Merit and Rowe) for all markets except northern America, Canada and the UK. In order to spend more of his time and energy developing new markets, Ballouz will no longer be responsible for the Premiere Group business.
Commenting on these changes, Healey said: “Andy and I, and all of our team, are currently working through a period of transition. We are familiarising ourselves with additional businesses with the intention, as has always been stated, of maximising the synergies between all our UK brands.”
