Astra Games has announced a new distribution agreement in Belgium with Seeben, one of the market’s most established companies. Astra has strengthened its export channels over the last two years with the appointment of a number of strategic partners in key European markets, resulting in major growth in 2006 and an expansive product range across 13 countries.
Astra’s entry into Belgium is seen a significant opportunity, as explained by the company’s Managing Director, Neil Chinn: “We analysed and assessed the opportunities presented by the Belgium market and were struck immediately by the affinities between the expertise and knowledge of Seeben, Astra’s versatile product offering and the player trends and game profiles.
“As always, we will be introducing exciting product that will provide players with a new twist on a familiar theme, and we are positive it will create a spark in the market. We already have a number of parallel developments that will be introduced imminently.”
Seeben has a diverse interest in all sectors of the gaming market from manufacture through to distribution, and Urbain Thewissen (pictured), Managing Director of Seeben, is enthusiastic about the introduction of the Astra brand into Belgium.
“Astra has a renowned name in Europe,” commented Thewissen. “And, coupled with the pedigree of Novomatic, plus the creative expertise of Astra’s design department, we feel that we can deliver product that will be entertaining, compelling and commercially strong.”
