IOA Group’s Bob Rudd division is to use MEI’s Cashflow 9500 as the standard coin mechanism in all its gaming and amusement devices.
The firm operates more than 3000 machines across the north of England, with depots in Keswick, Leeds, Newark, Newcastle upon Tyne and Warrington.
Said group service manager Kevin Astley: “We plan to update our entire estate with the 9500 Series coin mechanism. Not only have we found this product to be very reliable, but we are also confident we have made the right decision thanks to MEI’s after-sales support and service team.”
MEI will help the operator upgrade the devices with DES encryption and to support the new 5p and 10p coins.
“We are very pleased we have negotiated a deal with MEI for the DES upgrade and coin update,” said Astley. “It is about time operators did not have to front the costs for every necessary upgrade.”
