This month, we take a look at FutureLogic’s Ticket2Go™,a cost-effective pay out solution for AWP and LPM operations.
Ticket2Go is the latest innovation by FutureLogic, and is a secure ticket based cashless pay out solution specifically designed for AWP or LPM operations such as pubs, bars, restaurants, service stations and small gaming arcades.
The Ticket2Go solution can be connected to both analogue and digital machines that support the ccTalk coin hopper protocol. Whereas most comparable systems require a network or work only with digital platforms, Ticket2Go can be retro-fitted into the large number of legacy analogue and digital machines currently installed today across the UK and Europe.
The first dozen Ticket2Go sites are now live and performing extremely well with a number of UK operators proving both the system’s reliability and effectiveness as a cashless pay-out solution. The concept has been particularly well received by both players and operators, highlighting the intuitive ease-of-use and operational benefits of ticket pay-out.
The core components of the Ticket2Go solution are the PHub (peripheral hub), a small device that is installed inside each machine, the FutureLogic Ticket Printer and a secure side box for machines that do not take ticket printers in their cabinets.
The PHub replaces the coin hopper and converts all coin pay-out messages received from the machine into a secure cash pay-out ticket. When the player cashes out at a machine, a 2D barcode ticket is printed which is then presented for payment at the bar, the cash desk or redemption terminal. A Site Terminal installed at the Point of Sale allows site operatives to easily verify tickets and make payment.
The 2D barcode on the cash pay-out tickets allows for the current and historic transactions to be stored with multiple encryption levels, which means that Ticket2Go does not require a network connection between the machines and the Site Terminal. The high-level encryption built within the system guarantees that the tickets printed are as safe as the chip cards used by today’s banking systems. This feature combined with no additional power requirements for either the PHUB or the printer makes for a cost-effective and easy to operate cashless pay-out solution.
Ticket2Go can be configured to operate in either a single site or multi-site environment. The system also provides full ticket reconciliation and audit functions, which can be seamlessly integrated with the operator’s own accounting systems. Ticket2Go is a very flexible tool for street market operators who are looking for an intelligent solution to overcome their cash handling problems whilst improving security and decreasing staff intervention.
Whilst Ticket2Go had originally been designed for the UK AWP market, other countries and markets have shown a keen interest in the concept. “Ticket2Go is exceeding our wildest expectations”, John Edmunds, VP International Markets and Product Management comments. “We recognized the need for a more advanced pay-out system for existing AWP markets but are overwhelmed by the response we received to our Ticket2Go launch at the ICE Show earlier this year. We will see a faster and more wide-spread deployment of this pay-out solution into other international markets.”
