The Austrian manufacturer TAB Austria, originally known for its Silverball touch-screen and the Max Fire jukebox series, has now become active in the German cash payout sector. The multi-gambler Golden Island Fire has been launched with classic reel games, Roulette, Poker and Keno.
It is played via both touch and key interfaces. According to current information, it should also have an interesting price/performance ratio. The machine is currently undergoing approval procedures at the German test authority PTB. The importer of the machine is NRI, the German subsidiary of the Italian company Norditalia Ricambi. Until now, NRI has mainly concentrated on the marketing of billiards and table football machines in Germany. In parallel with this, it has emerged that TAB Austria has already, within twelve months of introduction of its Golden Island touch-screen terminal in 2005, secured the casino licence in Croatia. Thus the terminal can be operated in the casinos in Croatia with Croatian, English and German software, the company informs us.
