The first Hot Games Show was held on November 3-5 at the Taichung World Trade Center in Taiwan. The show attracted around 54 exhibitors and visitors from all over the globe, including the US, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Visitors were welcomed at a dramatic opening ceremony, featuring battle drums and lucky lions as well as confetti crackers, creating a celebratory atmosphere.
Many types of product were shown at the trade fair, covering amusement and gaming machines, video, sports games, kiddie rides, redemption, spares and more.
On the first evening after the show, the organizer invited all the exhibitors and overseas visitors to a Chinese banquet, which held at Howard Prince Hotel, Taichung.
In order to create a platform for exhibitors and overseas buyers to communicate, the show organizer introduced representatives of exhibitors in both Chinese and English during the party. This proved to be very popular with visitors, who were impressed with the level of personal attention shown by the organizers.
During the three days of the exhibition, three competitions were held: basketball shooting, car racing and ice hockey on Taiwanese machines, this added to the fun atmosphere of the show. Next year, the Hot Games Show will be held in Taipei at the Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) in September.
Because the Taiwan and overseas often release their new products in the second half year, it is thought the new location and date will attract more exhibitors. Once again, Hot Games will offer its airport guiding service and will organise another exhibitor and overseas visitor party.
