Merkur enjoyed successful shows
Published:  01 March, 2007

Merkur Gaming enjoyed a successful IMA and ATEI – and during both shows its theme was “All you need”. The large number of visitors at both shows exceeded the expectations of Axel F. Pawlas, CSO Mekur Gaming, and his team by far. At ATEI customers from more than 20 countries in Europe but also South America, USA, and Africa attended.

“The bigger stand area allowed us to even better present the innovations from our comprehensive product offer. The interest in our machines was overwhelming. Furthermore, we were able to establish many interesting new contacts during the three trade show days that make us optimistic for the future,” Pawlas commented. Above all the interactive jackpot system, Treasure Mania, attracted attention. With its multicolour effects the innovative jackpot is certainly eye-catching. Thanks to the sophisticated plexiglass design the jackpot can in addition be offered at an attractive price-benefit ratio and is therefore not only interesting for casino operators. The international innovations in the field of amusement with prize (AWP) machines, Alhambra and Secrets of India, in their modern casino cabinets as well as the new multi-game Games Unlimited for the Czech market were also popular with visitors. As were other innovations such as Happy Dice, the first reel machine by Merkur Gaming for Hungary, with multiple dice features as well as Volcano, offered as an attractive dual unit for the Dutch market. Specifically for the UK market, Merkur Gaming showed Criss Cross Runner, which was developed by MEGA for the ‘Section 16’ category and can also be adjusted for the future category B3. True to the motto ‘One-Stop-Shopping’ the Gauselmann Group also offered integrated concepts for the operation of Kiddie Rides such as the Kids Zone with appealing illumination for the presentation of two Kiddie Rides. In addition, there were the Disney islands for inside or outdoor operation that can accommodate up to four Disney machines. Antonio Hita de la Plata from the company Interibi, Spain said, “The new Disney licensed Kiddie Rides Princess Dream and Lightning McQueen are unique! They are absolutely in sync with the themes that kids love today.” Other amusements included the improved Merkur Gaming touch-screen Trendy Blue Motion with its19inch monitor and the classic Airhockey Typhoon.
