Inspired announced changes in its senior executive team just before the ATEI show last week. Paul Terroni, a former UK Managing Director of IGT subsidiary, Barcrest, has today been appointed Inspired’s new Group Director of Strategy. Working closely with Jim O’Halleran, CEO UK and Ireland, and Neale Deeley, UK Sales Director - Pubs, Paul’s focus will be the roll out of SBG AWP and jackpot gaming machines into the UK market, and the transition of the UK pubs and gaming machine base from analogue to Open SBGTM.
Inspired has committed to rolling out 25,000 of The Player SBG AWP’s over the next three years to major pub retailers. Paul has been working with Inspired since 2005, when he was appointed VP Business Development, Overseas Markets. Commenting on his new role, Paul Terroni said: “Having been major customers of Barcrest, I have known Russell, Luke, Norm and Jim for a very long time. The past year working on international markets has been a great insight into the Group and I look forward to channeling this into the UK operations.” Jim O’Halleran, CEO UK and Ireland, Inspired Gaming Group plc, commented: “Having consulted to our international division over the past year, we are delighted that Paul is now joining us on a permanent basis, with a special focus on UK AWP. Paul is a major UK gaming industry figure and we expect that he will have a significant impact as we continue the transition of our business to the SBG model”. Complementing Paul’s appointment, Simon Kerry, previously UK Finance Director of the Group’s Leisure Link subsidiary, today steps into the role of Group Finance Director. Robin Chhabra, formerly Director of the Leisure and Gaming team at Evolution Securities, also joins the Group on a permanent full time basis as Group Development Director. Robin has held management consultant roles at both PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Andersen before moving to Dresdner Kleinwort and Evolution Securities. Robin has worked for Inspired Gaming Group since September 2006, initially in a consulting capacity before becoming Corporate Development Director. Paul, Simon and Robin will all report directly to Luke Alvarez and Norman Crowley, Group co-CEO’s. Commenting on the appointments, Luke Alvarez, co-CEO of Inspired Gaming Group plc, said: “2007 will be an exciting year for Inspired and our rollout of SBG in the UK and internationally. We are delighted to be bringing Paul into the Group on a permanent basis and feel he will have a strong impact on our SBG AWP strategy, with 2007/2008 being the years of transition for the UK pub gaming market.”
