The CIRSA Group is simplifying its structure and reducing the number of divisions it operates from five to four. The company’s objective is to increase synergy and reduce costs without any reduction in staffing levels. The decision means there will be one new division, to be known as Business to Business (B2B), which will combine the existing manufacturing division (responsible for the design, manufacture and marketing of amusement machines for bingo halls, casinos, bars, arcades and casinos) and the interactive division (responsible for the design, marketing and operation of online terminals and systems for instant lotteries, electronic bingo and interconnected amusement machines).
This measure will, on the one hand, provide a convergence of technologies that will favour the integration of the existing diverse technological platforms within the group and, on the other hand, will result in greater profitability for the business by strengthening the different lines of current products and reinforcing its position in the market. The combined turnover of both divisions in 2006 was Euro127 million and in total 525 staff were employed. Enric Beard will be the manager of this new CIRSA division, whose aim is to create a more efficient customer oriented organization. He will report directly to the Group’s Director General, Joaquim Agut. The new manager of B2B was born in Barcelona fifty years ago and has a Doctorate in Telecommunications and a Masters in Business Management and Organization. He is the author of several books on the management of change in conjunction with the ‘Fundación Politécnica de Catalunya’ - Polytechnic Foundation of Catalonia and the ESADE School of Business Studies.
