The court ruling became final on January 30, and all county law enforcement aimed to halt operation that day. Jacksonville, Florida officials are awaiting the outcome of a lawsuit against adult gaming parlors before voting on a bill to regulate adult arcades, which some officials believe “prey on the elderly.” Local media predicts the passage of the bill, whenever it comes up for a vote. In Texas, Austin police raided nine different locations citywide in January, seizing more than 400 eight-liner machines.
