Euroslot is sad to report the death of popular industry personality Fred Milner. His close friend Steve Bierrum from Genesis Enterprises wrote the following obituary. “Physically and intellectually Fred was ‘larger than life’. He was one of the mainstays of the amusement industry over the last 35 years.
“In 1972 he was working as a clerk in a bank in Hong Kong when he was approached by Mike Kogan, the founder on Taito Electronics. “Mr Kogan wanted a European to work for his growing company and assist with the overseas business which was growing rapidly. Fred spent the next 12 years working for Taito, and then in 1984 he left to set up his own business, Bondeal. “Over the next 20 years Bondeal was to become a household name in the amusement industry. Specialising in sourcing up to the minute, as well as second hand equipment Bondeal exported to countries all around the world. “If there was a trade show Freddy was there. He went to them all.In 1996 he moved to Manilla and set up, in conjunction with his second wife Leonora, Bondeal P.I. This company is now the leading operator of coin operated equipment in the Philippines. “Fred was a kind and generous man, always willing to help. He entertained all his customers and friends whenever they visited Manilla. He loved the industry and would spend hours discussing trends and new products. He was a very knowledgeable man, able to discuss a wide range of topics. He will be sorely missed. To his immediate family, we extend our deepest condolences.”
