Funworld was thrilled to be finally able to sell its products at the Rimini trade fair, following months of negotiations.
“This year at last, we were again able to sell all products that we presented at the fair immediately because all necessary permits had been granted in advance. Continuous efforts around clearance by the Italian authorities have paid off,” said Marco Huter, Funworld CSO.
Funworld had to show its new System as a power point presentation at the Rome fair, as discussions were not finalised over licensing by SOGEI the Italian body which controversially required all amusement machine producers to provide their source codes for inspection.
“Certainly part of the sensational trade fair success was due to the fact that this time we were again able to offer online linkage, which is our top client relations tool. Traditionally Italy was a market where tournaments boomed,” explained Huter. “With over thousand linked Photo Play terminals, Italy was one of the countries that managed to achieve great takings by active tournament management and player marketing for years. Now we want to take off with linked terminals,” he added. “For Italy, we now even have developed UMTS linkage, which means that our clients are not solely dependant on DSL connections. “
“At last we can put the entire product range on offer”, said Andrea Scampini, the new Funworld s.r.l. general manager. “Already the product presentations held for operators have made it apparent that the PRO Generation and the new software is met with enthusiasm.”
