Sega moves to new offices
Published:  11 May, 2007

Sega Amusements Europe will shortly relocate into new headquarters. The UK based company has outgrown its existing Epsom office and has taken 25,000 sq ft of office, warehouse and showroom space in Chessington, Surrey.

The move comes after a spate of new appointments over the past 18 months which has made the existing premises unsuitable. Coupled with Sega’s re-entry into the spares business with the creation of Sega Total Solutions the need was overdue. The new property takes into account the future expansion plans for the company with provision for the growing R&D team with a development suite and games test area. The Kids Business is also expanding with new recruits joining shortly to add diversity the companies’ amusement core. The spares business, STS, now exclusively selling Sega parts and components, will have warehouse and shipping operations under the same roof as customer service support. Paul Williams commented about the next stage of the companies’ expansion by saying that “this is an extremely important milestone for Sega in Europe; the new premises will serve our expansion plans for the next five years and incorporate the functions needed to best facilitate that growth which in turn will benefit our customers”.
