The third Italian Pro Game Show will be open to the playing and betting public for the first time, having previously being reserved for the companies in the sector and for the professionals.
The event is organised by the Fair Play, branch of the ACMI trade body (National Association of Manufacturers of Amusement Machines), with the collaboration of the State Monopolies, the Ministry for Sport and Youth Policies and the Region of Emilia Romagna. The fair will open its doors to the public at the Fiera di Bologna between 20th and 22nd September 2007. “Opening the show to the public reflects our desire to involve the consumer, to demonstrate to him how the game works, and to popularise the gaming culture whilst holding high the image of correctness and seriousness of our businesses,” explanied Mauro Crivellente, President of Fair Play, at the presentation of the event in the Palazzo dell’Informazione, head office of the Adnkronos group in Rome “We grow from year to year,” emphasised the General Manager of Fair Play, Gennaro Parlati. “We can say without a word of a lie that the Pro Game Show is the first European exhibition to represent all the games available to the public throughout Italy. “We began in 2004 with 40 exhibitors, and this September we expect to accommodate 150 companies, all of whom are operators in the gaming sector, and therefore we will have no companies from outside the industry. “The exhibition area will cover over 10,000 square meters of exhibition space, split between three pavilions, and we are looking to break the threshold of ten thousand visitors, also thanks to the presence of some celebrities who we expect to welcome at the show,” he added.
