Astra Games has announced the appointment of Andy Dinning as design and games development executive. Reporting directly to Product development director Ron Watts, Andy’s responsibilities will include the creative development and execution of game concepts for both the domestic UK market and Astra’s eleven overseas markets.
Dinning began his career at Barcrest, before taking a key role at Electrocoin affiliated games design house PCP. He was involved in design and software solutions for UK and export markets - such as Spain, Russia and the Czech Republic - eventually becoming a shareholding director. Commenting on his new role Andy said:“Astra Games has always been viewed as a dynamic and creative brand. From my perspective to work with such a creative and forward thinking company was an easy decision. “At all levels of the company there is a desire to succeed, there is a real hunger to offer new solutions, for current and future legislation. I'm looking forward to working with the team, already we have some "mouth-watering" products penciled in for the Preview not to mention the ATEI”. Astra Managing Director Neil Chinn is positive Andy’s arrival will not only broaden the scope of Astra’s creative team, but also motivate the entire company:“Andy is a team player whose considerable experience, extensive gaming knowledge and unquestionable creative zest will add another dimension to Astra’s already versatile development team. Andy has the same positive attitude and winning ethos that drives the Astra team as a whole, and is committed to bringing quality, innovative games to each market. I’m eagerly looking forward to seeing Astra’s new developments at Preview 2008.”
