Densitron has announced the release of four new products for use with its popular DPX range of computer boards for gaming, recently adopted by IGT for use in its new M-P Series multi-player gaming systems.
SecureBoot is a flexible BIOS ROM extension product designed to meet the requirements of GLI and other regulations that require verification by hashing of the data in mass storage devices. One-Wire iButton SDK and Runtime enables any of Densitron's latest products to use Dallas iButton devices. There is a wide variety of iButtons available including security buttons, memory buttons (NVRAM, EEPROM, and EPROM), secure real time clock and even temperature sensor buttons. A small carrier securely attached to the DPX board can hold one or two iButton devices. TPM Suite is a comprehensive SDK which give developers access to the range of security features of the TPM security coprocessor. All of Densitron’s latest products support the on-board TPM (trusted platform module). This device is used in a number of ways as the root of a robust security architecture. The TPM is used to ensure the integrity of both hardware and software to guard against unauthorized tampering, upgrades or copying. It can be used as the basis of encryption schemes to further protect game assets. In downloadable or server based gaming environments it can be used to attest to the "trusted" status of the client machine. Finally, the DPX Connector is a growing range of peripheral libraries supporting popular cash handling devices, readers and printers commonly used in the gaming industry. Apart from these four new software products, Densitron Gaming continues to offer comprehensive Board Support Packages for each of its single board computers. These board support packages represent many man-years of development work and include high performance drivers for all the hardware as well as extensive API libraries. Another area in which Densitron Gaming software support adds great value is in Embedded OS support. For Windows XP Embedded Densitron offers all its drivers in component form, tested and ready to use with Windows Embedded Studio. It can also offer complete XPE images and support for customers developing with either embedded Windows or Linux.
