The launch of the standard size machine has encouraged bowls, FECs and arcades nationwide to upgrade old air hockeys to the bright new Fast Soccer that has seen increased revenues wherever sited. Football theming and the new super fast playfield has struck a chord with the public and revitalized the air hockey sector. Most recently converted to the Fast Soccer is Namco Operations Europe Ltd. Initial site trials confirmed the reports from other customers that these machines really do take more money. Namco will now be upgrading their entire air hockey estate to Fast Soccers over the summer, including the flagship County Hall on London’s South Bank.
