The Amusement and Music Operators Association (AMOA) in South Barrington, Illinois is happy to report that its membership rolls total 1,500 member companies as of mid-July. It breaks down to 1,272 operators, 74 distributors, 74 manufacturers and 26 suppliers, plus 14 trade journals, including EUROSLOT Magazine.
Twenty-nine Affiliate "other" category members is comprised of life members, consultants, association executives and one-stops for music sales. AMOA now offers a searchable membership database that is online at www.amoa.com. The International Flipper Pinball Association- www.ifpapinball.com – whose first president from 1990 to 1993 was Euroslot’s US correspondent Sharon Harris – increased its international player membership base from 958 to 1,257 players over the past two months. The newest represented country is Poland, and the first Polish ranked players have been added. In other European competitions, IFPA's director in Italy assisted at the first IFPA-endorsed Italian pinball tournament. Also, the British contingent has formed a new UK Pinball League.
