It has become a tradition now during the summer dinner which is organised each year by the Europer Association, for the annual report of the trade body’s activities to be presented.
The report this year included a letter of introduction from the new Director General of Gaming in Catalonia, Merce Claramunt.
In his speech before representatives of more than 150 private gaming companies, Albert Sola, the President of Europer, requested that a common stance be adopted before the administration in order to be able to jointly express the challenges facing the private gaming sector. Touching on topics of a more internal nature Albert Sola gave an assessment of the progress made during the last year and declared his satisfaction with the way the Europer association has developed over this period. Also, during the dinner Europer gave its agreement to support the Share Association, a Guatemalan organization dedicated to the support of children and the development of rural areas in this Central American country.
Each month this voluntary organisation, which has its headquarters in Sabadell (Spain), helps more than 25,000 undernourished children and 3,400 pregnant mothers. In 2006 it participated in the distribution of more than 778,000 food parcels in the region.
