Global Draw meets regs deadline
Published:  01 November, 2007

The Global Draw, the UK’s leading provider of digital betting solutions has advised that its full estate of circa 9500 betting and gaming terminals was successfully converted to meet the requirements of the new gambling bill which came into force on 1st September.

This new legislation reclassified gaming and betting products and as such each Licensed Betting Office is now permitted to offer B3 Jackpot content as well as B2 FOBT content on its allocated four machines. Both categories offer the customer an opportunity to win up to £500 from differing stakes and include multi-line jackpot games and card games such as poker for the very first time. Global Draw has been preparing for the implementation of new legislation for over 12 months and has undergone a huge logistical exercise which has seen the company replace all its original terminals with state of the art twin screen ‘Nevada’ terminals. Nevada has been specifically designed to take full advantage of new legislation and includes cleverly configured software, which allows both B2 and B3 games to be offered on all terminals. This flexible package delivers a cutting edge betting and gaming experience with underlying reliability for which Global Draw are renowned. In addition to these improvements, Nevada also facilitates the inclusion of third party content from best of breed game developers in addition to Global Draw’s in-house designed games.
