Pan Amusements, renowned worldwide for the manufacture of electronic shooting galleries intends to use its 12th appearance at IAAPA to promote general scenery building and animation skills as well as shooting galleries.
Managing Director, Paul Whittaker commented, “Manufacturing such a defined and unique product such as the shooting galleries means we have to be expert in several skills – set building, animation, electronic activation and precise theming. We have recently found that many more companies are contacting us to provide a general service in these areas.” One recent project undertaken by Pan was at the huge Bluewater Shopping Centre at Dartford, London where the company built two animated areas on water which required pirate theming, erupting volcanoes, castles, falling palm trees and also a modern port complex. Pan went to great pains to ensure that everything worked properly. “We even erected an 18ft. diameter tank in the factory to extensively test each piece,” added Whittaker. “This service represents another productive development on top of our traditional market. We are selling more and more galleries to none theme park locations especially retail and also being asked to provide specifically themed areas, animations and effects.”
