Matahari Studios, a software division of LAI Games, has won an Indonesian ICT Award in the Entertainment- Game Category. The Indonesian ICT Awards 2007 is a national event, organized by the information and technology community supported by the Indonesian Communication and Information Department. As the award winner, Matahari Studios represented Indonesian Game Developers at the 7th international Asian Pacific ICTA Awards in Singapore.
The game, which Matahari Studios submitted to the competition, is Dino Duel Masters (www.dinoduel.com) a new 3D graphic Dinosaur’s fighting game that is played in combination with a collectable card series. The game already enjoys great success in Indonesia, Singapore and other countries. “We thank the judges & the many competitors for the chance to be part of this event, our game development team who worked on the game showed that they can compete against the best in the Game industry and accepted the Award in recognition of their creativity, design and programming skills”, said Damien Wieman, Matahari Studios General Manager. Matahari Studios is the game development arm of LAI Games with Studios in Jakarta, Indonesia and Manila, Philippines.
