As of December 1, Betson Enterprises is no longer an authorized distributor of Bay Tek Games, Inc. Bay Tek said in a statement that it has “decided to move forward without Betson's affiliation due to the introduction of Betson's own line of redemption games into the marketplace and due to Bay Tek's concerns with Betson's commitment to sell Bay Tek products at a time when it appears that Betson is increasing its efforts to market its own proprietary products.”
Larry Treankler, CEO of Bay Tek, stated, “Betson has obviously increased their investment in their own games, and as a result, Bay Tek believes that Betson will be unable to fulfill Bay Tek's expectations with respect to sales and marketing of Bay Tek games.”
“There is no doubt that the loss of a distributor like Betson leaves a big hole to fill", according to Bay Tek Sales Manager, Rob Ozarowicz, "However, we have a strong core group of key distributors who have pledged, not only their support, but their increased efforts to sell more Bay Tek games. If we continue our track record of introducing great games to the coin op world--such as our new high-earning Smokin Token Extreme game--we'll be in good shape.”
