The recent IAAPA Show provided another successful sales opportunity for Pan Amusements, the world leader in the manufacture of electronic shooting galleries. Paul Whittaker, Managing Director of Pan explained, “Exhibitions currently appear to be the strongest way of promoting our products. At IAAPA we met a number of buyers, who it is very unlikely we would have attracted, in the normal course of our business.”
Particularly encouraging for Pan was the interest shown by leading theme and leisure park operators in its set design and themed scenery building service which was promoted heavily at the show. “Our extensive experience in the techniques required to build our shooting galleries has given us excellent all round skills which are appropriate for set building and installation,” remarked Whittaker, “but this is not always apparent to buyers unless you really promote it hard which we did.” Defying the shrinking value of the dollar against sterling, Pan is also enjoying good growth in its North American business. Major outdoor sports retailer Cabelas took the opportunity at the show to place further orders for seven bespoke themed shooting galleries. Orders were also taken from the Incredible Pizza restaurant and leisure chain for more of its 50’s style themed galleries. There was also interest from Russia and South America. Paul Whittaker and his team are now preparing and looking forward to exhibitions in Nice in January and Dubai in April. “We realise that almost any country and any leisure and retail outlet has potential for our range of products. So we are aiming to ensure that we select the most appropriate venues to give us this vital geographical and business spread,” added Whittaker.
