Hollywood is focusing on the power of video games in recreation history. Popular leading man Leonardo DiCaprio has signed on to play arcade game legend and Atari Corp. founder Nolan Bushnell in a new biographical movie called Atari.
Bushnell, called "the father of the videogame industry", launched created a revolution three decades ago with the introduction of Pong. He went on to form Pizza Time Theater, which became Chuck E. Cheese's after he sold it. Bushnell currently heads up Uwink, a company that began making online touchscreens in 2000 for the amusement industry.
DiCaprio's production company will produce the movie, which will portray Bushnell as a visionary who saw potential way beyond its time.
