SAM Leisure celebrated completing a successful first year under its new management structure this Spring. Despite the difficulties in the coin-op market caused by the smoking ban, and general economic uncertainty, SAM was able to trade profitably and consolidate its position. The company has just announced it has been able to secure a new, long lease on its Coventry premises and is currently negotiating to purchase the freehold.
The continued phenomenal success of the Fast Soccer Air Hockey and new Yukon models has been particularly significant. The replacement of older Fast Tracks has been assisted by high demand for these in the secondhand market. "We are able to offer part exchange on old SAM hockeys," commented Gary Drage. "Their durability has fuelled a thriving refurb industry supplying domestic customers, disappointed with the cheap wood bed hockeys offered online and by the large retailers. We can move on as many trade ins as we can get!"

SAM Leisure has been the UK and Ireland's exclusive distributor of SAM tables for more than 12 years. Senor Letamendi visited the UK to discuss new designs and initiatives with SAM Leisure on pool, hockey and new product lines for promotion at forthcoming UK shows.
